The 2018 “Building Bridges: Eastern Iowa Assistive Technology Conference” will provide an opportunity to see first-hand the latest in assistive technologies (AT), practices, and services for school-age students with disabilities. This AT conference will serve as a unique opportunity for professionals, parents, administrators and service providers to exchange and gather information on the current status and assistive technology tools available for consideration.

A follow up to Apraxia, Anxiety and AAC in this session we will look at some positive behavior supports for individuals with anxiety and apraxia that extend beyond AAC or can be used for students with verbal language ability including using social stories, video models and visual supports in conjunction with robust AAC to allow our students to have more positive feelings about themselves and more positive interactions with their worlds.
